Working in a similar fashion to cosmetic facial fillers, autologous fat transfer can be used to “fill” deep lines and wrinkles, smooth facial scars, restore facial volume and augment the cheeks, chin, breasts, and buttocks. A special liposucti on technique is used to harvest fat from areas of the body where an excess exists. The fat is then injected into the face using a micro-injection technique. Results can last up to several years or longer.
